Juju's Slime Fest
If your child is like my child, then he or she is obsessed with slime! So we decided one week before her party to do a slime fest with 12 of her friends with a cool invitation (download template here) thanks to Canva. Like the year before with her Candy land theme party, we opted for a lot of color. The only major difference this year is that we went with the theme slime fest galore.
A Rainbow of Treats (Backdrop and Desert Area)
Dull moments are no match for the rainbow of fun this party brings! We created a stand-out backdrop by layering strips of light pink, hot pink, orange, yellow, green, blue and purple balloons around gold lettered balloons that read “Slime Fest.” I forgot to mention that, we had to exercise extreme blowing skills lol but no really we got a balloon pump to make all this magic happen. You can also find a slime inspired balloon and other multicolor balloons spread throughout the area. Using balloon columns brought the final look together.
In this same area, our dessert table was a feast for the guests' eyes and their tummies! We were sure to have cute polka dot dessert plates from Dollar Tree and napkins on hand for those who couldn't get enough of the yummy treats!
White cupcakes with rainbow sprinkles were displayed on an acrylic cupcake stand and were the perfect addition to our table. A rainbow sprinkle-covered cake sat in the center of our dessert area with a “Slime Queen Cake Topper” on top. The dessert area was full of rainbow colored treats with use of short acrylic candy jars and tall acrylic jars.
The rainbow pops, colored popcorn, multicolor gummy candy, blue cookies, and cupcakes all added to the look of our dessert table thanks to their rainbow colors! The final rainbow inspired decoration were the colorful tassels! Juju and her friends loved it all.
Slime Everywhere (Activity Table)
There would be no slime fest without the slime of course so we dedicated an entire table to making gallons of slime lol! We created a long table and covered it with white table cloth. We decorated the table where each person had their own colorful mat, apron, (Juju’s apron) mixing spoon, mixing bowl, polka dot trays for their supplies, and art supply palette.

Feast in Color (Lunch Table)
We wanted the girls to feast in color so we added color in every which way. We had neon green vases that represented slime filled with colorful flower arrangements and slime splatter confetti. Continuing with the rainbow theme, each place setting received a purple glitter placemat, kiwi green plate, hot pink napkin, caribbean blue cup, and kiwi green silverware. We were ecstatic with the statement that such a simple creation added to our plain table. Each place setting also received a fun and playful treat.
Slime Fest was a Success
The party may have had to come to an end, but our guests were all smiles as they departed with their own personalized slime in slime canvas bags! Sending each guest home with one, or a few, was a fun parting gift and an easy way to keep the party going!
